Can we do batch requests?

No. We currently do not provide functionality batch CoP requests.

What are the rate limits?

The CoP service was built for high volumes with a ceiling of 25 transactions per second in both Sandbox and Production environments.

How does the name matching logic work?

The matching logic has been developed by obconnect, our vendor and we are unable to disclose the details of how it works.

  • To get a 'Match' result, Users of the CoP Service should enter the first and last name of the account holder as registered on their bank account.
  • In the case of a joint account, Users are encouraged to use the first and last name of one of the account holders.
  • Some businesses use Trading As names. We encourage them to engage with their Account Issuer to understand what name their account is registered under. This is this name they will need to share via their invoices and payment advice, to get paid quickly and easily.

The matching logic does allow for small typos and simple mistakes and Users will likely be returned a 'Partial Match' result where these appear.

Any wider variations will result in a 'Not a Match' result.
